The Dartmoor Girl is set in the 1950s in the same area of Tavistock, Princetown and Dartmoor, and we meet some of the descendants of the characters from her earlier books.

It is 1952. Britain is slowly emerging out of the darkness of the Second World War, but the conflict still casts it shadow over the lives of many. London born and bred, Lily Hayes is looking forward to a carefree future in the capital, oblivious to the secret the Blitz inflicted upon her family. She is devastated when an unexpected tragedy also reveals the truth that will throw her life into turmoil and take her to a different world from the bustling city she loves - a world that holds challenges and mysteries and the legacies of ancient cults. Will Lily discover her true identity and find happiness among the dramatic wilderness of Dartmoor, or will the forces of the past drive her back whence she came?
