A Dartmoor Pool

Loves

Tania loves nothing better than rambles over Dartmoor with her husband who is all her heroes rolled into one! She always carries a camera with her and tries to take unusual photographs such as By a Dartmoor Pool.

As a writer, she spends much time reading other authors. She is currently reading all of Kate Morton’s novels which she finds utterly gripping and inspirational. Another favourite is Rosamunde Pilcher's The Shell Seekers, but her icon is Audrey Howard and she has read every one of her novels. She counts fellow authors Julie Cohen, Beth Elliott, Kate Fforde, Jean Fullerton, Janet Gover and Nina Harrington among her friends and acquaintances, all of whom she has met through the Romantic Novelists' Association. She also enjoys a happy relationship with fellow West Country writers Lilian Harry and Marcia Willett.

Tania loves genealogy, and the Irish side of her own family tree has been traced back to landed gentry in the Sixteenth Century. No wonder she is passionate about Irish music! Her favourite solo artist, though, is Josh Groban, and her favourite musicals are Les Misérables and Miss Saigon. Music forms a very important part of her life, and she finds it inspirational when she is writing.

Not a great one for celebrities, if asked, Tania would name Pierce Brosnan as her favourite actor! 'Pierce sizzles with mature sexiness,' she says. 'So strong but with that vulnerability I like to portray in my heroes. He comes across as a real gentleman - and, of course, there's that Irish charm!'
